The Students@SC Alumni Showcase is a three-day gathering designed to bring together current participants and alumni of the Students@SC program. This event offers a unique platform for attendees to network, share experiences, and gain insights from accomplished alumni in the field of high-performance computing (HPC) and related areas. Each session will feature a distinguished alum who will deliver a brief talk, followed by an interactive Q&A session and informal networking opportunities.

Welcome and Introduction: Opening Remarks and Introduction of Dr. Christine Harvey by the Event Host
Dr. Christine Harvey is a distinguished computational scientist and a Principal High Performance and Analytic Computing Architect at MITRE. With extensive experience in high-performance computing (HPC), she has significantly contributed to strategic planning, system deployment, and training for HPC users. Christine’s work spans various fields, including organ transplantation data workflows and complex simulations for defense and financial systems. She holds a Ph.D. in Computational Sciences and Informatics from George Mason University and is recognized for her leadership and innovative contributions in technology.

Welcome and Introduction: Opening Remarks and Introduction of Dr. Dewi Yokelson by the Event Host
Dewi Yokelson is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Lab in Livermore, California. She received her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon under Dr. Allen Malony in 2024. Her research interests are in monitoring and analyzing high-performance computing (HPC) applications. She is also interested in post-mortem performance observation, analysis, and visualization, performance modeling, and benchmarking. During her PhD, she held internships at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Dewi received her Master of Science in Computer Science from University of Oregon in 2022. Before attending graduate school she worked in software development at Expeditors International of Washington. Dewi received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Gonzaga University, in Spokane, Washington in 2013.

Welcome and Introduction: Opening Remarks and Introduction of Dr. Kathryn Mohror by the Event Host
Dr. Kathryn Mohror is an esteemed computer scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), where she has worked for over a decade. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Laboratory Directed Research and Development Program, she has also led the Parallel Systems and Data Analysis groups. Dr. Mohror’s expertise lies in high-performance computing, MPI, and I/O. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Portland State University, where she also completed her M.S. in Computer Science and B.S. in Chemistry. Her notable contributions include scalable checkpointing systems and non-POSIX file systems.
